    Thin PLZT films of various stoichiometries have been prepared by laser deposition. Waveguiding and optical properties were characterised by prism coupling method, spectroscopic ellipsometry and by transmission measurements. The composition was determined by WDZ. Changes of refractive index with wavelength are discussed.
