    NMR on .sup.57Fe nuclei was measured in two single crystals of magnetite between 4.2 and 442 K. Below Ty twenty four NMR lines were detected. Eight line correspond to Fe on tetrahedral(A) sites, remaining 16 lines arise from octahedrally coordinated (B) irons. NMR thus confirms that low symmetry phase of magnetite corresponds to the space group Cc.
