Administration of drugs elevating extracellular concentration of adenosine, namely adenosine monophosphate and dipyridamole, in combination with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), stimulated proliferation of erythroid progenitor cells and increased number of erythrocytes in peripheral blood of mice whose haemopoiesis was suppressed by application of 5-flurouracil.
