The polar height was measured at "the state observatory" of Prague, the former Jesuit college of Clementinum during the periods 1889-1892, 1895-1899 and 1900-1904. The measurements were performed with a transit instrument. Practically all the observations are still preserved in the Archive of Academy of Sciences.
