The analytical basis for this paper is stone material of the Moravian Corded Ware, Bell Beaker, Proto-Únětice, and Nitra cultures. It is compared with contemporary inventories from territories of Hungary (the Csepel group, the Early Nagyrév culture) and Poland (the Chlopice-Veselé and Mierzanowice cultures). The study is focused on the origin of the so-called Early Bronze Age Technology and Tool Revolution, and - in general terms - on the origin of the Bronze Age civilisation in the western part of the Carpathian zone.
