Polemická studie analyzující některé aspekty vývoje kulturní a sociální antropologie a antropologie historické v České rep. Autor upozorňuje na důležité současné teoretické, metodologické i čistě praktické a organizační problémy zmíněných disciplín a vyjadřuje se zejména ke vztahu historické etnologie (národopisu) a tzv. evropské etnologie k angloamerické kulturní/sociální antropologii.
A polemical article in which some aspects of the latest developments in cultural and social anthropology as well as in historical anthropology in the Czech Republic are analysed. The author emphasises important contemporary theorethical, methodological and businesslike problems in the disciplines mentioned above especially their relations to historical ethnology and European ethnology.
