Baseline identification of pigments is not sufficient for the description of technical style of painting and its authentication. Qualified interpretation of the stratigraphy of colour layers accompanied by the description of their microstructure is only able to help with the evaluation of origin of materials and authenticity of the painting.
Základní identifikace pigmentů nepostačuje k posouzení technické výstavby malířského díla, natož k posouzení jeho autentičnosti. Teprve kvalifikovaný výklad stratigrafie vrstev a popis jejich mikrostruktury opřený o správnou interpretaci výsledků různých analytických metod je zárukou, že materiálový průzkum přispěje k posouzení původu materiálů nebo pravosti malířského díla.
