The text aims to explain the voting unity in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic building upon data from the years 1998ů2002. The article presents basic institutional rules which should lead to the unity of political parties in the Czech Parliament and then data measuring the unity of Czech parliamentary party groups. The initial presupposition that institutional factors found within the parliament and political parties will result in an increased unity of PPGs in the Czech Republic has not been confirmed. The authors found the reason for the relatively lower party unity in the size of voting coalitions that approved individual bills

Cílem textu je objasnit jednotnost při hlasování v Poslanecké sněmovně Parlamentu České republiky na základě dat z let 1998 - 2002. Článek uvádí základní institucionální pravidla, která by měla vést k jednotnosti politických stran v českém parlamentu, a dále údaje o měření jednotnosti českých parlamentních stranických skupin. Původní předpoklad, že institucionální faktory zjištěné v parlamentu a u politických stran povedou ke zvýšení jednotnosti parlamentních stranických skupin v České republice, se nepotvrdil. Autoři zjistili, že důvod pro relativně menší jednotnost stran spočívá ve velikosti hlasovacích koalic, které schvalovaly jednotlivé zákony
