Článek se zabývá jednou z mnoha stránek abstraktní povahy jazyka, abstrakcí jazyka od percepce. Tento druh abstrakce se projevuje např. v čtení, jež vyžaduje koordinaci odlišných percepčních činností a ve filosofii byla objevena Gorgiou a následně využita Platónem a Aristotelem v jejich vztahu mezi jazykem a duší.

The paper deals with one of many sides of abstract nature of language, with the language abstraction from perception. This kind of abstraction is performed by coordination of different perceptions, e.g. by reading, and it was revealed by Gorgias in philosophy and then used by Plato and Aristotle in their conceptions of relationships between language and mind.
