From polluted soil, bacteria were isolated and were screened for the presence of bph A1 and bphC genes. PCR primers were designed for conserved regions of bphA1 and bphC genes. The degradative capabilities of the isolates were confirmed by growing in the presence of biphenyl as a cosubstrate

Z kontaminované zeminy byly izolovány bakterie a byla u nich vyhledávána přítomnost genů bph A1 a bphC. Primery pro PCR byly navrženy pro konzervované oblasti genů bphA1 a bphC. Degradativní schopnosti izolátů byly potvrzeny kultivací v přítomnosti bifenylu jako kosubstrátu
