Over the past thirty years, we have seen a proliferation of feminist theories of knowledge. The author looks into the various streams of thought in feminist epistemologies and into the impact of gender on production of knowledge. Last but not least she outlines strategies adopted by women scientists in research institutions adopted to negotiate their gender role in such institutions

V posledních třiceti letech jsme byli svědky šíření feministických teorií znalostí. Autorka se zabývá různými myšlenkovými proudy ve feministických epistemologiích a vlivem genderu na tvorbu znalostí. V neposlední řadě uvádí nástin strategií uplatňovaných vědeckými pracovnicemi ve výzkumných institucích při vyjednávání o jejich genderové roli v těchto institucích
