Studies of nonlinear processes of self-focusing of a laser beam in a plasma were performed using the PALS TW iodine laser system. Laser intensities of the order of 101 9 W cm- 2 in plasma were deduced from ion measurements for some conditions. A threshold intensity of 2x101 4 W cm- 2 for nonlinear processes in plasma was confirmed
TW jodový laserový systém PALS byl využit ke studiu nelineárních procesů samofokusce laserového paprsku v plazmatu. Laserové intenzity v plazmatu, řádu 101 9 W/cm2, byly dedukovány z iontových měření pro určité podmínky. Pro výskyt nelineárních procesů v plazmatu byla potvrzena prahová intenzita 2x101 4 W/cm2
