Polymer blends (polypropylene)/(poly(styrene- co-acrylonitrile) (PP/SAN), were prepared. The objective was to achieve co-continuous morphology of the minority component, SAN, predicted to improve mechanical properties, e.g., stiffness and yield stress. The impact of PP/SAN volume and viscosity ratios, amount of compatibilizer and stabilizer, and processing temperature on the SAN co-continuity was followed by electron microscopy.
