The hybride laser ion source was initiated with the aim to obtain intense beam of highly charged ions (pulsed mode). The main features of the theory is shown, along with the results obtained in the off-line test at LNS facility (Nd:YAG laser 0.9J/9ns, laser power densities <1011 W/cm 2 ) and at IPPLM facility (Nd:glass laser 10J/1ns, limited to 1.5J).
