We describe the system that we use for experimental hyperthermia of tumors. A new type of microwave applicator was developed for the superficial treatments. The penetration of the heating was confirmed to be limited at about 1 cm inside the tissue with quick and homogeneous heating. Tests were performed on gel phanthom and on experimental melanoma in the mouse. The device allowed better localized treatment in small superficial cancers in the mouse

Je popsán system, který používáme při experimentální hypertermii nádorů. Pro povrchovou terapii byl vyvinut nový typ mikrovlnného aplikátoru. Byl potvrzen rychlý a homogenní průnik tepelného záření až do 1 cm hloubky tkáně. Test byl proveden na gelovém fantómu a experimentálním myším melanomu. Přístroj dovoluje lépe zaměřenou léčbu malých povrchových nádorů u myší
