We propose the hypothesis that we need temporarely block the immunity to restart an effective anticancer response. The hypothesis is based on the new knowledge about proinflammatory cancer microenvironment and tumor immune escape. Carcer-bearing animals that received mild immunosuppressive treatment for a short time had reduction of cancer growth and lymphocytes were able to vigourosly produce IFN-gamma
