Sborník obsahuje dvanáct studií českých, polských, maďarských, německých, nizozemských a kanadských badatelů věnovaných J. A. Komenskému, jeho dílu a některým jeho současníkům, tématům z dějin Jednoty bratrské a náboženského exilu, česko-polským kulturním stykům v 17. století a šířeji otázkám kulturních dějin ve středoevropském prostoru. Druhá část obsahuje edici pozoruhodného dokumentu o užívání Betlémské kaple Jednotou bratrskou a tří Komenského politicky a teologicky orientovaných spisů, které jsou zde poprvé publikovány v českém překladu.

The volume includes twelve studies by Czech, Polish, Hungarian, German, Dutch and Canadian scholars on J. A. Comenius, his works and some of his contemporaries, on the topics from the history of the Unity of Brethren and religious exile, on Czech-Polish cultural contacts in the 17th century and on the broader topics of cultural history in Central Europe. The second part of the volume consists of the editions of an important document regarding the activities of the Unity of Brethren in the Bethlehem chapel and of three political and theological writings of J. A. Comenius which appear for the first time in Czech translation.
