The seminar, organized by the Institute for Social and Economic Analyses, the Insitute of Sociology, AVČR, v.v.i. and the American Center of the U.S. Embassy in Prague, presented the current work of leading Czech and international scholars on the determinants and consequences of corruption and related phenomena. Presentations were also given by representatives of the Czech government and civic organizations. By discussing new trends in corruption research, the seminar aimed to critically reflect on the role and potential of sociological research for anti-corruption policy.
Seminář, který byl spolupořádán Institutem pro sociální a ekonomické analýzy (ISEA), Sociologickým ústavem AV ČR, v.v.i., a Americkým centrem Velvyslanectví Spojených států amerických v Praze, představil současný výzkum vedený předními českými i zahraničními odborníky na problematiku příčin a důsledků korupce. Své příspěvky prezentovali rovněž odborníci z ministerských resortů a občanského sektoru. Cílem pořádaného semináře bylo vytvořit diskusní fórum o nových trendech ve výzkumu korupce a kriticky reflektovat roli a potenciální přínos sociologického výzkumu v oblasti protikorupční politiky.
