The objective of this study was to determine whether the use of allogenic mesenchymal stem cells could functionally heal defect in the distal femoral physis in rabbits without the use of immunosuppressive therapy. The results of this study demonstrated that novel composite scaffold with mesenchymal cells stimulated to differentiate towards chondrocytes has a potential to regenerate physeal defects.
Cílem studie bylo prokázat, zda alogenní mezenchymové buňky mají schopnost funkčně shojit defekt v distální růstové ploténce u králíků bez použití imunosupresivní terapie.Výsledky studie prokázaly, že nový kompozitní nosič osazený mezenchymovými buňkami diferencovanými do chondrocytů má schopnost regenerovat defekt růstové ploténky femuru.
