The book has been organized as a comprehensive overview of the practical courses from animal physiology with English as the communication language. The scope of this text has been therefore limited by recent curriculum of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UVPS Brno for the subject of Physiology I. The style follows the simple description of aims, experimental designs, results, and discussions with space for self-evaluation, notes and comments. Some broader applications are suggested in the seminar chapters.

Učebnice je sestavena jako přehled praktických cvičení z živočišné fyziologie v anglickém jazyce. Náplň učebnice je vymezena platným curriculem na Fakultě veterinárního lékařství VFU Brno pro předmět Physiology I. Formát učebnice zahrnuje popis cílů jednotlivých cvičení, experimentálního přístupu, výsledků a diskuzi s prostorem pro vlastní hodnocení, poznámky a komentáře. Širší aplikace jsou nastíněny v rámci seminárních kapitol.
