Small tokamaks have an important role in fusion research. Because of compactness, flexibility, low operation costs and high skill of their personnel, small tokamaks continue to contribute to many areas of Fusion research, well recognised by big tokamaks and ITER, in particular in training and educating the personnel, developing new diagnostics, testing new materials. The paper summarizes the results obtained during the last two Joint Experiments and introduce the objectives for the third Joint Experiment organized in the frame work of the IAEA CRP on Joint Research Using Small Tokamaks.

Malé tokamaky hrají důležitou roli ve fúzním výzkumu. Díky jejich kompaktnosti, flexibilitě, nízké ceně provozu a vysoké úrovni jejich personálu přispívají malé tokamaky do mnoha oblastí fúzního výzkumu, což je ceněno ze strany velkých tokamaků a ITERu. Zejména jde o trénování a výchovu nových pracovníků, o vývoj diagnostiky a testování materiálů. Článek shrnuje výsledky z posledních dvou Společných experimentů a zmiňuje záměry pro třetí Společný experiment organizovaný v rámci projektu IAEA CRP on Joint Research Using Small Tokamaks.
