A chemical method of atomic iodine generation for the chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL) was studied. This method is based on fast reaction of gaseous hydrogen iodide with chemically produced fluorine atoms formed by a preceding reaction of molecular fluorine with nitrogen oxide. Very high concentration of atomic iodine (up to 3.2x1015 cm-3) was measured in the laser cavity with a good yield related to both F2 (up to 95%) and HI (up to 60%).

Byla studována chemická metoda generace atomárního jodu pro chemický kyslík-jodový laser (COIL). Metoda je založena na rychlé reakci plynného jodovodíku s chemicky produkovanými atomy fluoru. Takto byly produkovány velmi vysoké koncentrace atomárního jodu (až 3.2x1015 cm-3) a s vysokými výtěžky (až 95% vztaženo k počáteční koncentraci F2).
