Using counterflow centrifugal elutriation (CCE) we have separated a cell fraction containing a population of very small cells originating from basal layer of epidermis. On the basis of expression profiles for keratins (10, 14, and 19), nucleostemin, galectin-1 and epitopes reactive for this adhesion/growth-regulatory tissue lectin this distinct population shows stem cell phenotype.

S využitím protiproudé centrifugační elutriace jsme oddělili buněčnou frakci obsahující populaci velmi malých buněk původem z bazální vrstvy pokožky. Tato zřetelně odlišná populace vykazuje fenotyp kmenových buněk a to na základě exprese keratinů 10, 14 a 19, nukleosteminu, galektinu-1 a jeho vazebných míst.
