Authors studied the association of five single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) in a hospital-based case-control design with 712 cases and 748 controls from the Czech Republic. The INSR A603G promoter SNP was associated with the risk of CRC (ORs for the variant allele 0.71, CI95% 0.54-0.93). The variant allele of the IRS1 polymorphism further decreased the risk among INSR-603G allele carriers (ORs 0.28, CI95% 0.11-0.70). SNPs in the INS, IGFBP1, and IRS2 genes did not affect the risk of CRC.

SNP v INS, IGFBPI a IRS2 genech neovlivňovaly riziko vzniku CRC.
