The paper introduces a hypothesis assuming the crucial role of lower anesthesia level as well as the low degree of central neurogenic pulmonary edema trigger zones in the development of neurogenic pulmonary edema on the basis of severe sympathetic discharge, augmentation of the central blood volume, increase in the pulmonary capillary pressure and the decrease in the pulmonary venous return. The hypothesis indicates the necessity of precise monitoring of anesthesia level during the performance of surgical interventions on spinal cord and brain.
Publikace nabízí hypotézu, předpokládající klíčovou úlohu nízké anestezie a s tím související nízký stupeň inhibice centrálních spouštěcích mechanismů neurogenního plicního edému, na rozvoj neurogenního plicního edému na podkladě hyperaktivace sympatiku, centralizace oběhu, zvýšení kapilárního plicního hydrostatického tlaku a snížení plicního cévního návratu. Hypotéza naznačuje nutnost přesné monitorace hladiny anestezie během provádění chirurgických zákroků na míše a mozku.
