    Mo sulfide catalysts, mostly alumina-supported, were promoted by Pd, Rh, Pt and Ru (up to 0.8 %). Their activity in HDS of benzothiophene (BT) was compared with activities of Mo/Al2O3 and CoMo/Al2O3 catalysts at 330-390oC and 16 bar. The addition of noble metals (NM) improved the activity and led to synergy (SE) up to about 4. The Pd promoted sample was the most active from all NM based catalysts, but less active than the CoMo system. This can be explained by much lower Pd loading than that of Co. On the other hand, the specific effect per atom of NM was higher than that of Co and decreased from Pt and Rh to Pd and Ru.

    Sulfidické Mo katalyzátory, vetšinou na nanesené na alumině, byly promotovány Pd, Rh, Pt a Ru (NM, do 0,8 %). Aktivita v HDS benzothiofenu byla porovnána s aktivitami katalyzátorů Mo/Al2O3 a CoMo/Al2O3 při 330-390oC and 16 bar. Přídavek NM zlepšil aktivitu a vedl k synergickým efektům kolem 4. Vzorek promotovaný Pd byl nejaktivnější z promotovaných katalyzátorů NM, ale méně aktivní než CoMo systém. To lze vysvětlit menší koncentrací Pd než Co. Na druhé straně, specifický efekt na atom NM byl vyšší než u Co a snižoval se od Pt a Rh k Pd a Ru.
