It was shown that magnetohydrodynamic turbulence in the Earth’s plasma sheet can be identified only if multi-scale stationary data intervals are considered. The scalings below the ion gyroperiod can appear due to Hall effects or frequency-dependence of viscosity and resistivity. Large-scales are controlled by multiple and uncorrelated driving sources
Bylo ukázáno, že magnetohydrodynamická turbulence v plasma sheetu Země může být identifikována jen v případe, kdy požadavek stacionarity dat je chápán multi-škálově. Ukazuje se, že škálování pod gyrační periodou iontů souvisí s Hallovym jevem anebo frekvenčne závislou viskozitou a rezistenci. Velké škály jsou ovládané vícerými nekorelovanými fyzikálnimi procesy.
