Weights that do not change an Orlicz space up to equivalence of norms are fully characterized in the paper. Also generating Young functions for which essencially unbounded weights with this property exist are described - it turns out that the resulting spaces form a proper subclass of non-reflexive Orlicz spaces with rapidly increasing Young functions. By way of applications we e.g. simplify criteria for continuity of the composition operator and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for this continuity.

V článku jsou plně charakterizovány váhy, které až na ekvivalenci norem nemění Orliczův prostor. Rovněž jsou charakterizovány generující Youngovy funkce, pro které toto může nastat. Ukazuje se, že odpovídající Orliczovy prostory tvoří podtřídu nereflexivních Orliczových prostorů s rychle rostoucími Youngovými funkcemi. Výsledky jsou aplikovány na kompoziční operátory, jsou jednak zjednodušena kritéria pro jejich spojitost a nalezeny nutné a postačující podmínky pro jejich spojitost.
