    The relationships between the levels of DNA adducts (as biomarkers of exposure), the exposure to air pollution (carcinogenic PAHs) and smoking status are studied in the population from Prague, Kosice and Sofia. The results showed that B[a]P DNA adducts were more strongly associated with smoking status than with the environmental exposure to carcinogenic PAHs.

    U skupin osob z Prahy, Košic a Sofie byl studován vztah mezi hladinou DNA aduktů (jako biomarkeru expozice), expozicí znečištěnému ovzduší (karcinogenním PAU) a kouřením. Výsledky ukázaly, že spojitost mezi B[a]P-DNA adukty a kouřením je mnohem silnější než vztah těchto aduktů k environmentální expozici karcinogenním PAU.
