    First, celulose diacetate was partly functionalized with 2-bromoisobytyryl bromide giving double headed multifunctional macroinitiator with both the hydroxyl and bromoisobutyryl groups. Poly(.epsilon.-caprolactone) grafts were generated by ROP and, in the next step, polystyrene or poly(meth)acrylate grafts by ATRP, which led to the densely grafted, bottlebrush-type copolymers with chemically different grafts.

    Diacetát celulozy byl nejdříve částečně funkcionalizován 2-bromoisobutyryl bromidem za vzniku multifunkčního makroiniciátoru s hydroxylovými a bromoisobutyrátovými funkčními skupinami. Poly(.epsilon.-kaprolaktonové) rouby byly generovány ROP a v dalším stepu pak polystyrenové nebo poly(meth)akrylátové rouby pomocí ATRP, což vedlo ke vzniku hustě roubovaného "bottlebrush" kopolymeru s chemicky různými rouby.
