The last volume of Dějiny českého výtvarného umění (History of Czech Fine Arts) monitors the development of fine arts in the Czech Lands from the EXPO 1958 exhibition in Brussels almost to the present day. The work of a large team deals with architecture as well as free and applied art. It lays special stress on the outset of new media – conceptual art, body art, land art, video art, etc.
