We demonstrate that NMI is present in cell nuclei of all mouse tissues examined with highest expression in lungs. RACE analysis and the analysis of genomic sequences indicates that almost identical homologous NMI genes are expressed in mammals, and similar NMI genes in vertebrates.

V této práci ukazujeme, že NMI je přítomen v jádrech všech zkoumaných buněčných typů u myši, a to nejvíce v plicích. RACE analýza a analýza genomických sekvencí ukazuje, že takřka identické geny jsou exprimovány u savců a podobné geny u obratlovců.
