    Here we used the FKM technique to follow the diel courses of photosynthetic regulation on the single-cell level. Photosynthetic performance was assayed by changes in the parameters of chlorophyll variable fluorescence of individual cells. CO2 concentration influences the regulation of photosynthesis on the level of individual cells as judged by shifts in the timing and magnitude of appearance of cells with high intrinsic fluorescence yield (so called "bright cells")

    S využitím techniky FKM (fluorescenčního kinetického mikroskopu) jsme sledovali denní změny fotosyntézy jednotlivých buněk mořské sinice Trichodesmium. Pozorovali jsme, jak koncentrace CO2 ovlivňuje změny denních průběhů maxim variabilní fluorescence a z toho jsme usoudili, že CO2 ovlivňuje regulaci fotosyntézy a její heterogenitu v populaci buněk
