Three probiotic Lactobacillus casei and casei/paracasei strains defined by 16S molecular probes showing the highest antagonisms against pathogen bacteria, the highest viability after low pH and bile salt treatment were selected for this study. Our results show that application of new probiotic Lactobacillus casei and casei/paracasei strains increase the production of Th1 cytokines. This effect is probably the result of direct activation of lymphocytes by bacteria localized in mesenteric lymph nodes

Tři vybrané bakterie Lactobacillus casei a casei/paracasei byly definovány molekulárními 16S probami a byla testována odolnost kmenů na nízké pH a žlučové kyseliny. Naše výsledky ukazují, že aplikace těchto nových kmenů vede také ke zvýšené produkci Th1 cytokinů. Tento efekt je pravděpodobně přímým důsledkem aktivace lymfocytů bakteriemi lokalizovanými ve střevních mezenteriálních uzlinách
