    The thermal history of the newly found garnet peridotite lenses enclosed within the Gföhl granulite at Plešovice quarry was investigated.The re-estimated P-T conditions for Grt-bearing assemblage in the Czech peridotites range 850-1050 ˚C and 15-40 kbar. The relatively narrow range of temperature condition of our P-T re-estimations indicate that Grt lherzolite paragenesis was formed in a tectonic setting where the temperature condition is nearly constant from shallow to deeper part. One of the possible tectonic settings may be the upper surface of the subducted continental crust.
