Architekt Fritz Lehmann (1889-1957) působil od 20. let na fakultě architektury a pozemního stavitelství Německé vysoké školy technické v Praze, která existovala do roku 1945. V článku jsou popsány poměry na fakultě, které v průběhu 20. let bránily jeho pedagogické kariéře, až po změny ve struktuře fakulty na počátku 40. let. Lehmannovo jméno upadlo téměř v zapomnění, přestože mnohé významné budovy, které projektoval, dodnes spoluvytváří centrum Prahy, Liberce, Ústí nad Labem a dalších měst. Jeho projekční architektonická kancelář byla ve 30. letech velmi úspěšná a výnosná, což bylo zdrojem mnoha problémů s kolegy na vysoké škole.

The German Technical University existed in Prague till 1945, and architect Fritz Lehmann (1889-1957) was engaged there at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture from 1920s. Circumstances at the Faculty are described in the article against his pedagogical career during 1920s, together with structural changes that began there from 1940s. Lehmann’s name, however, was nearly forgotten though many significant and well known buildings that he had projected could be seen in Prague, Liberec, Ústí nad Labem, and elsewhere. Lehmann’s architectural practice was very profitable in 1930s, and was a source for envy and rivalry struggles from his colleagues at the University.
