Sledování množství kontaminantů v potravním řetězci má velký význam z hlediska nezávadnosti produktů určených pro lidský konzum. Na 4 lokalitách řeky Bečvy byl paralelně prováděn odlov parmy obecné, která byla napadena velkým množstvím vrtejšů (Pomporhynchus laevis a Acanthecephalus anguillae) s cílem zjišťování obsahu vybraných rizikových prvků (Hg, Cd, Zn, Cu, Ni, Pb, As) a MeHg v daném parazito-hostitelském systému s hlavním zaměřením na zhodnocení těchto prvků a MeHg ve svalovině parmy z konzumního hlediska.

Studying the state of health of fish from the river Bečva we examined the level of selected risk elements (Hg, Cd, Zn, Cu, Ni, Pb, As) and MeHg in the parasite-host system of the acanthocephalans Pomporhynchus laevis and Acanthecephalus anguillae and its host - i.e., the barbel (Barbus barbus). A total of 26 specimens of the barbel have been caught and analyzed. The highest levels of all the above risk elements were in internal organs, muscles ever contained lower levels. The acanthocephalans accumulates less all risk elements than tissues of its host. Values that we found were ever below the approved concentrations of contaminants for humans weighing 60 kg, on average, and consuming 200 g of meat per day.
