Different types of microstructure fibers were fabricated from input stacks composed of silica tubes and rods. The sensitivity of these fibers to oxygen was induced by the application xerogel detection layers containing Ru-complex , tris (1,10-phenantroline) ruthenium chloride hydrate. The sensitivity was determined from changes of fluorescence of the complex caused by oxygen . In experiments the fibers were side excited at about 480 nm and fluorescence at about 590 nm was detected.
Různé typy mikrostrukturních vláken byly připraveny z výchozích svazků složených z křemenných trubic a tyček.
