Der Autor orientiert sich auf die zweifache Rezeption der Antike in dem erwähnten literarischen Werk. Zuerst möchte er sich mit der Antike als Objekt direkter Beobachtung und ihrer literarischen Darstellung durch den Autor – den Erzähler – befassen. Abschließend erwähnt er kurz die Kritik von Prutký an den schriftlichen Quellen, insbesondere an denen aus der Antike, die dem Autor zum Bergreifen einiger Gegebenheiten in den besuchten Ländern verhalfen.

The author is focusing on the double reception of the antiquity in the Itinerarium written by Czech Franciscan missionary Václav (Remedius) Prutký. First he deals with the antiquity as the object of the direct exploration and its literary presentation by the autor-narrator. Secondly he reports on the Prutký´s access to sources – books from the antiquity.

Autor se zaměřuje na dvojí recepci antiky v uvedeném literárním díle. Nejprve se zabývá antikou jako objektem přímého pozorování a jejím literárním zobrazením a poté se stručně zmíňuje o Prutkého kritice písemných pramenů, zvláště antických, které mu sloužíly k pochopení některých skutečností navštívených zemí.
