The seminar Diffusion and thermodynamics of materials maintains the long-term tradition of scientific meetings oriented on the interaction between the people working both in basic science and in industry. It represents an international forum for discussing recent progress in these scientific fields and their impact on the industrial application and makes thus the participants familiar with the modern trends in materials science. The seminar continues our series of D&T seminars. The last international seminar - D&T '02 held in September 2002 in Brno, Czech Republic - was the eight one.

Seminář Difúze a termodynamika materiálů udrržuje dlouholetou tradici vědeckých setkání orientovaných na výměnu informací mezi lidmi pracujícími jak v základním výzkumu, tak v průmyslu. Reprezentuje mezinárodní fórum pro diskuzi posledního vývoje v těchto vědeckých oblastech a jejich dopadu na průmyslové aplikace a seznamuje tak účastníky s moderními trendy v materiálové vědě. Tento Seminář pokračuje v naši sérii D&T seminářů. Poslední mezinárodní seminář - D&T '02 konaný v září 2002 v Brně, česká republika - byl osmým v pořadí.
