Composition of co-ion and counter-ion in the background electrolyte, the concentrations of macro- and microcomponents in the sample and physical properties of all components must be taken into account when composing a suitable background electrolyte for separation of samples with complex matrices.

Při volbě vhodného základního elektrolytu pro separaci vzorků se složitou matricí je třeba zvážit coion i protiion základního elektrolytu, koncentraci makro- a mikrosložek separovaného vzorku a fyzikální vlastnosti všech vstupujících látek.
