Publikace „Mnohohlasem“ se pro svou vysokou informativní hodnotu a jako reprezentace mnostranných aktivit proženských a feministických skupin jistě setká s pozitivním ohlasem u vědecké, politické a aktivistické čtenářské obce. Kniha dokumentuje, že za zdánlivým nezájmem českých žen o feminismus se skrývá odmítání diskriminujícího „nálepkování“ ze strany jeho odpůrců. „Kdo dává jméno, je v nadřízeném stavu k pojmenovanému“ (I. Noble), a proto není pro ženy snadné si označení přivlastnit v pozitivním smyslu. Rozhodující je proto široké zapojení do /proženských aktivit/ – představa „fragmentace hnutí“ se při čtení textů rychle mění v obraz její rozmanitosti a dynamičnosti. Zvolený feministicko-empirický přístup většinou vychází z existence „mužů“ a „žen“, ukazuje se ale také, že v genderu není nic jednoznačné. (Prof. Dr.phil. Gerlinda Šmausová, Priv.-Doz.)

For its strong informative value and its description of the multifarious activities of pro-women and feminist groups the publication In Multiple Voices (Mnohohlasem) will certainly be welcome reading among the academic, political and activist communities. The book shows that what lies behind the apparent lack of interest among Czech women in feminism is their rejection of the discriminatory “label” from its opponents. “One who names is in a position of superiority to what is named” (I. Noble), and therefore it is not easy for women to accept feminism in a positive sense. Of key importance then is the broadly based involvement of women in pro-women activities. When reading the book the notion of a “fragmented movement” is quickly transformed into an image of a diverse and dynamic movement. The feminist-empirical approach applied is usually based on the existence of “men” and “women”, but it shown that nothing in gender is that clear-cut. (Prof. Dr.phil. Gerlinda Šmausová, Priv.-Doz.)
