We found dissociation between anticonvulsant and antiepileptic effects of diazepam and topiramate in the model of status epilepticus (SE) in two age groups of immature rats. Effects of topiramate on SE were age-dependent however epileptogenesis was partially or completely blocked in both ages. Anticonvulsive effects of diazepam were better than antiepileptogenic effects in younger animals, whereas diazepam was ineffective in older rats
Sledovali jsme vliv léčby epileptického statu (SE) vyvolaného experimentálně LiCl/pilokarpinem u různých věkových skupin mláďat potkana s použitím diazepamu a topiramátu na akutní průběh SE a tíži epileptických záchvatů v dospělosti.
