Autoři upozorňují na nebezpečí, které skrývá zařazení individuálních a kontextových dat do téže analýzy a ukazují chyby při dosavadních metodách řešení tohoto problému. Po té nacházejí ideální řešení problému v aplikaci hierarchických lineárních modelů (HLM).Autoři celou problematiku ilustrují na příkladu vlivu mediální expozice a struktury televizního zpravodajství na individuální volbu důležitých politických témat. Zde potvrzují platnost paměťového modelu v procesu nastolování témat.

Authors show danger of the using of individual and contextual variables in one analysis and they show shortcomings of actual methods of handling this problem. They find solution in aplication of hierarchical linear models (HLM).Author ilustrate the whole problem on an example of the influence of the media coverage and the structure of television news on the individua preference of the important issues. Authors confirm the memory-basedmodel of agenda-setting process.
