This book sumarizes the results of a long-term international project, aimed to anthropological description of the anatomically modern human population of Dolní Věstonice and Pavlov (dated between 25-30 ky BP). The individual chapters deal with the archaeological framework and context of the discoveries, summary inventory of the fossils, assessment of age and sex, description of the individual parts of the skeletons , paleopathology, and the final paleobiological interpretation.

Tato kniha završuje dlouhodobý mezinárodní projekt, zaměřený na antropologické zhodnocení nejstarší anatomicky moderní populace z Dolních Věstonic a Pavlova (datované před 25-30 tis. let). Jednotlivé kapitoly shrnují archeologický rámec a kontext nálezů, celkový inventář, určení věku a pohlaví, popis jednotlivých částí skeletu, paleopatologii a závěrečnou paleobiologickou interpretaci.
