Originální rozbor Kantovy filosofie je zaměřen na to, co v této filosofii může být chápáno jako předjímání onoho pojetí času, které Heidegger rozvinul v knize Bytí a čas. Jeho pojetí je protikladné tomu, jak Kanta vykládalo německé novokantovství, spatřující v něm především rozvinutí kritické teorie poznání. Tento protiklad odraží i do knihy zařazená disputace mezi Ernstem Cassirerem a Martinem Heideggerem.

An original analysis of Kant´s philosophy is concentrated on its aspect which can be supposed as an anticipation of the conception of time explicated by Heidegger in his book Being and Time. This conception is opposed to the interpretation of Kant by the german new Kant's philosophy which pointed out first of all Kant´s developement of critical epistemology. This contrast is reflected also in the discussion between Ernest Cassirer and Martin Heidegger published in the book.
