    The study deals with investigation of influence of varying amounts of precipitation and litterfall on concentrations of Hgtotal and MeHg in the forest floor percolates in coniferous catchment in Germany. Precipitation affected Hgtotal concentration only moderately, but could cause dilution of MeHg. Litterfall seems to be source of Hgtotal and reduction of litter may lead to enhancement of MeHg leaching to the percolates.
