Sladkovodní mechovka Pectinatella magnifica (Ectoprocta) byla nalezena v litorálu pískovny Cep (Třebońsko, chráněná krajinná oblast a biosférická reservace, Jižní Čechy) v r. 2003. P. magnifica je v Evropě nepůvodní, je původem ze S.Ameriky. V padesátých letech byla nalezena v Labi a Vltavě poprvé v ČR. Článek popisuje morfologii a bionomii a loklalitu, kde byla nalezena.

The freshwater bryozoan species Pectinatella magnifica (Ectoprocta) was found in the littoral zone of the Cep sandpit (Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area and Biosphere Reserve, South Bohemia) in 2003. P. magnifica is a non-native species in Europe, originated from North America. In the 1950s it was recorded in the Labe and Vltava Rivers for the first time in what is now the Czech Republic. The article describes the morphology and bionomics of the invertebrate as well as the habitat where it was found.
