V tomto červeném seznamu jsou hodnoceny 4 druhy mihulí a 55 druhů ryb, které považujeme za původní na území ČR. Za původní pokládáme i druhy, které na území ČR pronikly v posledních letech a které jsou zároveň původní pro okolní středoevropské říční systémy. Hodnoceno bylo podle kriterií IUCN (2001).

The Red List of lampreys and fishes of the Czech Republic is based on the assessment of four lamprey species and 55 fish species considered as autochtonnous for the country. In addition, species which have recently reached the territory of the Czech Republic naturally and which are native in adjacent Central European water systems are also thought to be autochtonnous. For the assessment of the conservation status of the ichthyofauna in the Czech Republic, the IUCN Red List categories and criteria (Version 3.1, IUCN 2001) were used.
