The lightcurves for all known and suspected tumbling asteroids are reviewed. Their damping timescales that depends on period, size, and structure may exceed even the age of the solar system. Tumbling asteroids with monolitic structure do not need to have too long periods as would be extrapolated from asteroids of rubble-pile structure.
Překontrolovány jsou světelné křivky pro všechny známé i podezřelé asteroidy s excitovanou rotací. Jejich čas útlumu, který závisí od periody, velikosti a struktury, může překročit i věk sluneční soustavy. Monolitické asteroidy s excitovanou rotací nemusí mít příliš dlouhé periody jaké by vycházely z extrapolace asteroidů se strukturou "hromady sutě".
